Monique Lhuillier’s spring 2015 show at Bridal Fashion Week was stunningly feminine and romantic with layers of tulle, satin organza and Chantilly lace overlays. The name of the collection is “My Eternal Daydream” and it was influenced by the famous 19th century artist John Singer Sargent, well known for his portraits of beautiful women.

Just like ladies from that era, Lhuillier’s brides are dressed up in white and ivory, but also in pale pink, pistachio green and hydrangea blue. She used beautiful floral appliqués made from silk gauze, intricate embroidery and subtle layering to decorate her fabulous gowns and accessorized them with bejewelled head bands, metallic sandals, lace booties and beaded veils. Make-up was simple and natural with glowing skin, pink cheeks and berry lips, while hair was gathered in an elegant bun.

We have seen column shapes, cascading hemlines, A-line gowns accented with huge ribbons and crystal embellishments, as well as sexy fit-and-flare silhouettes with gorgeous illusion necklines. We loved her effortless slip dresses too, but our favourite gowns from this collection were one shoulder satin ball gown with tulle insert because it is timeless and modern at the same time and a dreamy A-line embroidered dress with matching embroidered shrug.
