Vera Wang’s spring 2015 collection premiered in an artistic video with brides holding black roses and dancing inside a gloomy house dressed in her gorgeous ivory gowns which were styled with gothic make-up and “love” tattoos. The dark ambience is a perfect backdrop for her angelic wedding dresses made from layers of tulle and lace.

The collection is very diverse and includes 20 different looks from classical ball gowns to contemporary minimalistic dresses. There is a piece for every type of bride, including a strapless bra and a tulle skirt! Some of the dresses are very simple and effortless such as a halter gown with a plunging neckline made from wonderfully light silk chiffon which is ideal for summer weddings. On the other hand, her most extravagant gowns are embellished with beading, corded lace and silk organza detailing. For this collection Wang also used her signature draping technique to create truly stunning tulle wedding dresses.

She described her collection as “delicate and disciplined” as well as “sensual and seductive” since it is very classical, feminine, light and ethereal, but also modern, serious and even a little bit murky, which turned out to be a fun contrast.
