When we meet with the couples, the first part of the discussion is always about vision. Planning a wedding is a big deal and every couple has a pretty good idea of what they want their wedding to be. The second part of the discussion is about how to afford the first part of the discussion. For most couples, there are going to have to be priorities and decisions to keep the budget on track. There are a number places to sharpen the pencil, and by prioritizing the elements of your vision, you can make sure you have the wedding you dreamed of within your budget.

One of the places we always encourage out clients to take a close look is with the liquor. Though its great to offer an open bar, depending on the number of guests and the length of time the bar will be available, an open bar can push the limits of a budget. We know an open bar is on the list, but just hear us out for a moment because we have a fun alternative. The Signature Cocktail is a fun way to compliment your beer and wine selection and to better control the cost of your bar. Tie it to your ceremony colors, your wedding theme, your personality, the season or your love of pirates….the Signature Cocktail is a wonderful way to express yourself while offering your guests a tasty drink alternative.

We recommend, and many facilities require, a professional bartender or crew to keep your bar running smoothing and in a responsible fashion. Your professional mixologist will also be able to consult with you to create some scrumptious and fabulous that your guests will love!

And if you really want to take it to the next level, consider using a Montana distilled liquor. One of our favorite distilleries is Headframe Spirits from one of Montana’s most historic cities, Butte America (as the locals like to say). Round out your bar offerings with a nice beer from a Montana brewery, some select bottles of red and white wine, and your guests raising will happily be raising toasts throughout the reception.
